On 1 April 2024, seven people working with the non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen were killed in the Gaza Strip, including a Polish citizen.
The Government of the Republic of Poland and the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission negotiated a Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed by the Polish Foreign Minister and the President of the Commission on 20 June 2024 in Warsaw. A confidential report was submitted to the Government of the Republic of Poland on 18 October 2024.
