Dr Robin McNeill Love, Vice President of the IHFFC, attended the 6th Commonwealth Red Cross and Red Crescent Conference on IHL in Pretoria, South Africa from 15 to 19 April 2024.
On Day 1, he delivered a presentation titled: “ Compliance with IHL: The role of the International Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission” which was well received and a prolonged Question and Answer session followed which demonstrated a keen interest from delegates concerning the IHFFC. On Day 3, he led a Working Group concerning “Protection of persons with disabilities and armed conflict” and then presented the Working Group’s findings to the full Conference which again was well received.
Throughout the Conference, the IHFFC was given a warm welcome. Dr Robin McNeill Love, on behalf of the IHFFC, would like to extend the gratitude of the IHFFC for being invited to this important international conference concerning IHL.
